Thamesgate Group provides a number of services related to the removal, disposal and recycling of uninterruptible power supplies, standby power generators and consumables such as sealed lead-acid batteries.
As an NICEIC approved company, we can provide a cost-saving unified approach to the removal and disposal of electrically-related waste and transport it under as licensed waste carriers (by the UK Environment Agency) to our workshops for strip-down into separate waste streams or to approved WEEE recycling centres or specialist disposal companies in the case of batteries.
Once removed from site and recycled, a Disposal certificate is issued for your records.
The majority of UPS systems for recycling are legacy systems with at least ten years operational history. The majority will have been replaced by higher efficiency and more compact systems. Where possible Thamesgate does look to recover parts for use as spares or to refurbish UPS systems for resale as second-hand units.
Uninterruptible power supplies are generally stripped down within our workshop into their subassembly parts.
